  • From this day forward, our country will flourish and be respected again all over the world.


When President Biden took the reigns in 2021, world leaders breathed easier: "America is back," tweeted South Korean President Moon. Biden reinstated America in the Paris Climate Agreement, directed agencies to purchase American-made goods, cancelled new oil and gas leases on public lands, reversed Trump's "Muslim Travel Ban," created federal non-discrimination policies for previously unprotected vulnerable workers, instated an Ethics Pledge so that government appointees could not accept gifts from lobbyists, invoked the Defense Production Act to ramp up pandemic supply manufacturing and distribution, solidified the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity (IPEF) to combat China's growing stronghold in the region, galvanized NATO, supported Ukraine, stood for freedom and against tyranny everywhere.

  • For many years, a radical and corrupt establishment has extracted power and wealth from our citizens, while the pillars of our society lay broken and seemingly in complete disrepair.

  • We now have a government that cannot manage even a simple crisis at home, while at the same time stumbling into a continuing catalog of catastrophic events abroad.

  • And we have an education system that teaches our children to be ashamed of themselves in many cases, to hate our country despite the love that we try so desperately to provide to them.

  • From this moment on, America’s decline is over.


A familiar diatribe of fictional grievances and heralding of faux-fiascos that Trump himself (verbally) created to in-turn act as the savior of said crises.


  • Over the past eight years I have been tested and challenged more than any president in our 250-year history.

  • I was saved by God to make America great again.

  • We will move with purpose and speed to bring back hope, prosperity, safety and peace for citizens of every race, religion, color and creed.


From the administration announcing from this day forward there are "only two genders," it is difficult to imagine they will bring hope or prosperity or safety or peace to the same rainbow of citizens they called "DEI hires" last summer.


  • As our victory showed, the entire nation is rapidly unifying behind our agenda, with dramatic increases in support from virtually every element of our society: young and old, men and women, African Americans, Hispanic Americans, Asian Americans, urban, suburban, rural, and very importantly, we had a powerful win in all seven swing states, and the popular vote we won by millions of people.


Trump won the popular vote by 1.5 percentage points, 49.9% to 48.4% for VP Harris, without even a simple majority of Americans voting for him.


  • We will not forget our country, we will not forget our constitution, and we will not forget our God.


And we will not forget he said so.


  • Today I will sign a series of historic executive orders. With these actions we will begin the complete restoration of America and the revolution of common sense.

  • All illegal entry will immediately be halted and we will begin the process of returning millions and millions of criminal aliens back to the places from which they came.


Again calling immigrant "criminals" when the immigrant crime rate is lower than that of natural-born US citizens.


  • Next I will direct all members of my cabinet to marshal the vast powers at their disposal to defeat what was record inflation and rapidly bring down costs and prices.


Biden took office in January 2021 with Trump's 5% inflation rate. With the pandemic and economic crisis, inflation peaked in June 2022 at 9%. Currently as of January 2025 before Trump's swearing in, the inflation rate was 2.9%.


  • That is why today I will also declare a national energy emergency. We will drill, baby, drill.

  • America will be a manufacturing nation once again


Manufacturing boomed under Biden. From the Commerce Department's webpage:


"Through historic bills like the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, Inflation Reduction Act, and CHIPS and Science Act, the Commerce Department is investing billions of dollars in U.S. manufacturing in communities across America and making transformational investments in what and how we manufacture in the United States. 


During the Biden-Harris Administration, over 700,000 new manufacturing jobs have been created and over $910 billion in private manufacturing investments have been announced nationwide. As manufacturing has soared, so too has the opportunity for workers of all backgrounds to get good-paying, quality jobs."


  • We will bring prices down


No one will forget that promise, since it got Trump elected.


  • With my actions today, we will end the Green New Deal and we will revoke the electric vehicle mandate


Musk may not be happy about that.


  • ... we will tariff and tax foreign countries to enrich our citizens


According to the Peterson Institute for International Economics, a nonpartisan think tank focused on economic issues, Trump's tariffs could cost the typical U.S. family an additional $2,600 a year due to importers and manufacturers passing the cost of tariffs to consumers.


  • I will also sign an executive order to immediately stop all government censorship and bring back free speech to America.


Funny how Trump previously wanted to repeal Section 230 so that social media companies would actually be held accountable for false and even dangerous information on their sites. But since his re-election and a flood of ring-kissing by media moguls, he now wants "free speech."


Section 230 of the Communications Act of 1934 protects online service providers from liability for user-generated content. It was passed as part of the Communications Decency Act of 1996.


  • Under my leadership, we will restore fair, equal and impartial justice under the constitutional rule of law.


Noted.


  • We will forge a society that is colorblind and merit-based.


Ignoring past oppression that has resulted in current disparities is neither colorblind nor merit-based.


  • My proudest legacy will be that of a peacemaker and unifier.


We will be interested to see where peace is made and which parties are brought together.


  • A short time from now, we are going to be changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America. And we will restore the name of a great president, William McKinley, to Mount McKinley, where it should be and where it belongs.


Insulting our neighbors and indigenous peoples from Day 1.


  • And we’re taking it (the Panama Canal) back.


Will Trump be a peacemaker or an invader?


  • Together we will end the chronic disease epidemic and keep our children safe, healthy and disease-free.


We are still reeling from Trump's handling of the last pandemic when he asked for a study on the effects of injecting bleach into the human body.


  • And we will pursue our manifest destiny into the stars, launching American astronauts to plant the stars and stripes on the planet Mars.
